Evan Gunthorp
Evan hails from a long list Gunthorps who've made a go of diversified crop and livestock operations in northeast Indiana and south-central Michigan. Of particular note, he's at least the fifth generation to raise pigs on pasture. As is expected of a farm kid, he was involved, frequently begrudgingly, in all aspects of the operation but has held a focus on managing the chicken brooder, followed by the processing plant, and most recently the sheep flock. On their farm in Lagrange, Indiana, he, with his parents Greg and Lei and about 15 employees, raise pigs, sheep, and turkeys, operate an on-farm USDA inspected processing plant, and sell to individuals, retailers, and chefs across the eastern US.

Jeff Siewicki
Jeff Siewicki is a regenerative farmer and farm marketer. Jeff started his farm in 2017 to grow food that is healthy for people, animals, land and environment. His mission was to innovate and develop new agricultural techniques that act as a solution to climate change while supporting farmer stability. Through a lot of hard work, trial and error, he figured out the key elements to being successful financially, mentally, and environmentally while farming on small acreage. In addition, to raising pastured poultry and perennial crops, Jeff teaches other farmers how to start and scale up a successful regenerative farm so they too can become profitable doing what they love. He is passionate about regenerative agriculture and believes that small regenerative farms are the key to improving human health, farmer success, and environmental sustainability.

Together with my husband and daughter, we own and operate a cattle and horse ranch in East Central Wyoming, where the typical annual stocking rate is 40 acres/cow, which also for most area ranches includes feeding hay for 4-5 months. Since 2000, when my husband really started taking a hard look at finances, we have been year round grazers. For the past 6 years we have utilized the stockmanship of Instinctive Migratory Grazing to reboot our cowherd to effectively graze and regenerate the land. We started down the path of trying to increase our forage base when we realized that land expansion was not going to be a possibility. Since 2017 we have consistently more than doubled, and in some years tripled our forage production and stocking rate, we now average 17 acres/cow, and have been as low as 13 acres/cow while grazing stockpiled forage all winter. Do to increasing our forage production, we came to realize we essentially doubled and sometimes tripled the size of our ranch through the improvement in grazing, without purchasing any additional land or infrastructure.
